Experience
Since admission to the
bar, Mr. Liguori has concentrated his practice in the areas of land use
planning and regulation, municipal government, labor relations including
civil rights and employment discrimination, and education law.
He
has represented numerous individuals and entities before municipal
legislative and regulatory bodies and state environmental agencies. For
ten years he was Town Solicitor for the Town of Hopkinton, Rhode Island
including 1990 to 1996.
From 1977 to 1997 he was also legal
counsel to the National Education Association Rhode Island, a labor union
which principally represents employees of public and private educational
institutions.
Mr. Liguori has had extensive trial and appellate
experience in the federal district courts, Rhode Island District and
Superior Courts, United State Court of Appeals and Rhode Island Supreme
Court, as well as before federal and state administrative agencies and
arbitration panels.
Lecturer
Mr. Liguori is also a
frequent lecturer on legal issues. For example, he has routinely lectured
at the University of Rhode Island in its Center for Health and Law policy
and Labor Arbitration Seminar and for local school districts in their
professional development programs.
